We live rurally in an area with a largely poor population. There are not enough items donated locally to stock the much utilized thrift stores so they bring in truckloads of stuff from the city. The items are priced locally and often the people pricing don’t recognize a high end brand. It makes for a lot of stunning finds and a great wardrobe

~modest aesthetic~ I have recently decided that I'd like to wear more dresses and look more feminine, especially when I go to church. Similar to your reason for dressing more modestly, this wasn't because of anything anyone said or pressured me into (my church has no issue with women in trousers, though a few women opt for only skirts/dresses on Sundays), but something I have felt I wanted to do for myself. I also have boy-short afro hair as longer hair was hard for me to manage, but I felt like my hair felt too boy-ish to pull off certain looks. But I've realised that, as much as I love trousers for smarter outfits, when I'm out and about I'm happiest in dresses and skirts! I pair a lot of my dresses with tees as I have always been more conservatively dressed, and I'm enjoying floating around in my midi and longer length dresses. I'm hoping that if I find the right accessories, I'll be able to find the style I'm looking for. It's also great to find someone like you to take inspiration from! Apologies if this comment is all over the place; I've just begun this discovery journey and I have a lot of thoughts! Lovely hearing your thoughts, too. Great video; I hope others can discover the joys of dressing more in tune with their comfort level, regardless of what society and others might promote. :)

I'm not big into showing a lot of skin either, but it's definitely possible to still look cute and put things together to make an outfit more comfy. The day I realised I could wear a tee under a cami dress, etc was a game-changer! Your outfits look great, and the lemon dress is really pretty! 🍋

It’s definitely the thrifter, I have found some gems over the years and I am a fashion designer so I can alter or remake anything that doesn’t fit me, it’s truly a blessing because I never have to miss out on anything because it isn’t my size 💫
